Branding

Exploring the hidden power behind branding.

What is Brand Identity?

Picture
Brand Identity are all the features of a product that make it recognisable as being made by a particular brand. For example Apple products have brushed aluminium, sleek looking, have a circular section wheel, rounded edges, black screens and have the logo somewhere.

How Does Colour Influence the Buyer?

Picture
Picture
Colours can have a specific effect on people and are often used for that reason, for example using red letters is often associated with being alert or danger.

Or yellow on black—some of this is from our natural instinct—think about insects with yellow and black stripes for example.

Colour Psychology

Colour psychology often used in product branding. Masculine and feminine colour combinations, primary / bright colours used for children’s products, simple.

Two colour branding for basic/ affordable range of products in supermarkets e.g. Tesco Value (blue and white), Sainsbury’s Basics (orange and white).
